Sedona Arizona

With its wealth of natural beauty and spiritual magnetism Sedona attracts millions of visitors yearly and has a well built infrastructure to handle the crowds. Your lodging choices here run the gamut of room styles and levels of service, from budget and traveler hotel/motels to bed and breakfasts and five star resorts.

Outdoor Activities & Attractions

Established in 1902, but not incorporated until 1988, Sedona is one of the best vacation values in the west. Named after the early settler Sedona Schnebly, Sedona is surrounded by the Coconino National Forest and covers parts of two north-central Arizona counties, Coconino and Yavapai, which offers easy access to the natural wealth and historical artifacts that are spread throughout the region.

The top attractions that are just out of town include Red Rock State Park and Slide Rock State Park. Additionally, Grand Canyon National Park, located an hour north of Sedona, is an easy day trip. There are also two national monuments nearby, Tuzigoot and Montezuma Castle, which feature prehistoric dwelling once inhabited by the Sinagua people. If you are looking for some fun and excitement, grab your camera and a comfortable pair of shoes and set out on an incredible adventure here in Sedona Arizona.

Dining and Entertainment

Dining at L'Auberge

With a population of just over four thousand, Sedona has quite a few dining options available for you. There are plenty of Southwest and American restaurants, but there are also a scattering of other choices, from Indian to Japanese. Most, if not all are family friendly and offer a respite from the sometimes generic offerings that the hotels serve up.
Sedona offers a somewhat slim array of venues for live music or even drinking a few beers. Most nightspots are associated with local resorts, including Steaks & Sticks Billiard Room & Bar, a down-home drinking establishment at the Los Abrigados Resort. For live music, head to the Laughing Coyote in West Sedona where local bands play on weekends and get some of that down-home feeling back into your life.

With its wealth of outdoor activities, dining options, historical interests, sights, and small town feel, make Sedona Arizona a perfect place to bring your family for some time away from it all. Sedona is close to all that Northern Arizona and the surrounding states offer, plus it has that small town fell and sense of security, which we all know is a plus these days.
